Marouchka is born on 14 april 1985 in Marseille, France.
Raised by two culturs since her childhood, Croat by her father and Italian by her mother, Marouchka could inspire from eastern europe’s wonderful sceneries or from mediterranean’ sunset, but no… Her passion for animals won, and that’s from here that she gets all her ideas.

She draws since she knows how to hold a pen in her hands, but it’s only at the age of thirteen years old that her talent reveals itself. Her uncle, painter, finds unusual capacities for drawing on her and decides to give her his most precious advices.
She’ll attempt to equal the talent of that uncle she admires so much.
Her first painting will be realized in pastel and will represent, obviously, an horse. Her love for this animal continues.

Later, she’ll get the Arts Appliqués certificate in the section “architecture volumes”.
And because she was not agree with the college system of Arts Plastiques, she’ll head toward a two years course in Nice in order to learn new techniques, like trompe l’œil, coatings, lime…

At the same time, that accomplished artist is since the age of eleven years old, horsewoman. This sport practice, allows her to improve her work and to be more precise.
One of the main caracteristic of the “touch” of Marouchka is the fact to transpose the animals’ expression very realisticly.

The fact to work with black background is also one of her caracteristic…
She thinks that the essential comes out of the light, and that we have to guess the rest. She thinks that each horse is different and tells its own story.
